If you're looking for the best fly fishing Charleston has to offer, flood tides are where its at. These rare events happen only a few times a year, usually during a full or new moon. They're sometimes called "king tides," and they're absolute favorites among anglers. During a flood tide, the water rushes into the flats, which are large grassy areas. This draws redfish in to feed, as the crabs that normally hide in the grass are now underwater and easy targets. It's an incredible experience and an even better fishing opportunity. (up to 2 anglers).
